I talk about shopping with a list a lot, and I am always referencing my shopping list on my Youtube Channel. Since it’s the start of a new season – Spring 2020 – i thought I would share my shopping list with you as sharing with your friends on the internet is another way to stay accountable to intentional shopping.
Shopping List Principles
A few things to mention about my Spring 2020 Wishlist or shopping list:
- I typically don’t create it by season but keep a running list throughout the year. I still keep off-season items on my wishlist because shopping in vintage and secondhand stores mean off-season items are available year round and discounted. For the purposes of this list however and in the interest of #seo, I’ll only include my Spring/Summer 2020 wishlist items.
- As a content creator, I also try to satisfy my wishlist when I work with brands by choosing gifted items that match what I’m looking for. I also leave room for unanticipated gifts which might not be on my list but which I know I will get a lot of use out of.

My Spring 2020 Wishlist

I’ve had a navy silk shirt on my list for a while. I switch from jeans + sweater to shorts/jeans + shirt for Spring/Summer so I know a shirt like this will see a lot of use. I thought I had found my match during a collaboration with ThredUp last year but it turns out that shirt was better suited for my mom!

Ever since experiencing the soft luxury and cool boxy fit of my Organic Basics menswear tee in black, I have added the same shirt but in white to complete my short sleeve summer basics. I’ve also got a discount code : ALYSSAXOB if you’d like a little discount!

Similarly, when I discovered the Air Cami from Everlane in black last summer, I can’t wait to get my hands on a white one. I love how these easy cotton tanks are -still elegant but casual. I wore my black one all over Italy and Greece last summer.

Classic espadrilles have been on my list for a long time. I either switch between sneakers, oxfords, or gladiator sandals in the summer so this is a perfect in-between shoe and summer classic!

If you read my newsletter then you know I’ve been lusting after a secondhand Loewe puzzle for a few months. I love the structure, the colour, and the richness of this bag. I tend to opt for larger, slouchy bags but this is a perfect size to fit my camera, wallet, etc. and add a bit of polish. I’m not sure when or how this will come my way because the price tag is hefty (even pre-loved), but i’m still putting it out there!
There you have it! This is my first time posting my wishlist and I think it’s nice to record and keep track of my taste and see how it changes and how my closet changes as I bring in new pieces.
Thanks so much for reading!
